And that should then give you the space you need for that much-needed comeback. For example, if you're playing as Luigi, you can use a super attack to freeze the entire green, causing your opponent's ball to both bounce further and also roll extra far. Scaring your opponent by shouting in the middle of a shot is generally frowned upon, and bribing officials to kick balls into sand traps can quickly become costly in several ways.įortunately, Mario's latest golf adventure offers some good options for this tricky situation. Play the previous golf entries or spend your money on another actually good Switch game. You're probably familiar with the situation where your opponent is one shot ahead on the all-important final hole, which, on top of everything else, suits him very well. The seal of quality once used by the company has completely lost it's meaning. If this game was 20$ or cheaper I would have gave this 7 or more but the fact it's a 60$ full game price is why it's a problem, it's like Nintendo doesn't simply doesn't care if they're ripping their off customers and simply charging that amount of money for being a Nintendo product. The only thing good I have to say about the characters is that they have pretty good golfing outfits (save for a few like Yoshi and DK who don't have any). The characters only have one animation for a good or bad outcome when winning/losing a hole and it's very lazily done compared to the previous entries which had very flashy animations. The graphics are pretty bad for the Switch (especially Shelltop Sanctuary golf course, it's awful). None of the game modes are interesting and are very boring and basic. Gone are the ring shots modes, cup tournaments, challenges, best badges/birdie badges and star characters. Mario Golf: Super Rush is lacking the charm from the previous games and is severely lacking in content. This started with Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash and seems to continue in the present day. I don't know what's going on with Camelot but they haven't been able to provide a good Mario Sports game in years. It’s relaxing, fun and brings a good balance to daily gaming. With that being said I encourage others to play this game. In conclusion, I give Nintendo praise for delivering a great wholesome video game that gives the Golfing franchise a fresh coat of paint while adding more to what we loved from the past. My only complaint would be that I wish the game had more courses and character options, but as shown in the trailers for this game they already have plans to add more of these in the near future. I give this game a thumbs up to Nintendo in their line up of sports themed games. With the near future holding more updates to this game I can only say that it is going to get more and more fun for the family. It’s fun and fresh and a great addition to the game as a whole. The Mii story mode is another refreshing creative twist that gives this game another way to play. This game gives you a nice break to just sit back and play a couple rounds but also gives you a couple of game modes that give you that “super rush” you get when you are focused on a good video game for hours. This game is a wonderful and relaxing game to play It breaks up the monotony of playing games you have to stay focused on. The new features bring a fresh twist to the game, down to the little details like giving the characters new outfits and unlocked better golf clubs. It brings back old memories and creates new ones. Mario Golf: Super Rush is the best installment in the franchise.
